The Jamaica Business Development Corporation (JBDC) has announced the grand return of its flagship business and networking event, the Small Business Expo & Conference.

Scheduled for the Jamaica Pegasus Hotel on Thursday, May 30, 2024, the theme for this year’s staging is D.R.I.V.E … ENTREPRENEUR’S JOURNEY TO EXPORT.

As with previous stagings, the agency is anticipating the attendance of hundreds of entrepreneurs within the Micro, Small and Medium-sized Enterprise (MSME) sector.

“To say that we are excited to see the return of the Expo would be an understatement. Like many other initiatives, COVID-19 placed this signature event on pause, but with a “never say die” attitude, we are back,” said Harold Davis, Deputy Chief Executive Officer at the JBDC.

“One of the key lessons coming out of the COVID-19 experience, is the need for businesses at all levels to embrace Digital Transformation, and so it would be remiss of us not to lead with that discussion and exposure for the benefit of our audience. Export is also a key area being pushed by the Ministry of Industry, Investment & Commerce, under which the JBDC falls,” Davis added.

The conference aspect of the Expo which includes seminars and presentations, will focus on the following areas delivered by industry experts:
* Digital Transformation
* Revenue
* Industry 4.0
* Value Chain
* Export

The expo segment is expected to attract more than seventy (70) exhibitors from private and government entities showcasing products and services that can assist small and start-up enterprises along the growth trajectory. MSMEs will also have the opportunity to showcase.

More details will follow as the agency counts down to the Expo.
