Who is a Consultant?
A consultancy may be defined as the transfer or application of knowledge to address a client’s stated need. A consultant is therefore a service provider whose work is primarily intellectual in nature that is aimed at fulfilling the agreed need of a client. Consultants may fall within the general ambit of:
Generalist – an expert in many fields, who primarily offers their services to entities to assist in making overall improvements.
Specialist – Possesses knowledge, qualifications and or certifications, for a specific industry, or segment of an entity.

The JBDC utilises numerous Consultants within both categories, which include:

A consultant may be engaged on behalf of the JBDC to fulfil any of the areas stated below:

Types of Engagement
Eligibility Criteria
Consultants will be eligible for selection based on five core principles:
Legality, Formalisation, Qualifications, Experience, and Ratings from the JBDC Consultancy Rating System.
Consultants Compensation
Consultants will primarily be compensated based on the nature of the activity that they will be hired to undertake and their respective tier level. Their assigned tier level will ensure that due consideration is given to the work that they are expected to produce.
The nature of the activity will be divided into two main areas:
- Training
- Consultations

- Completed Application Form (Click Here)
- Resume/Portfolio
- Copies of qualifications (Degree and any certificates related to your field)
- 2 named references and their contact information - Past clients (this can be filled in on the application form or their contact info can be sent directly to us)
- Passport-sized photograph
- TRN
- TCC/TCL (If you don’t have either of these, you can still apply)
