Digital Jamaica
Only 7.64% of Micro Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (MSMEs) use digital marketing programmes or apps such as HubSpot, Marketing Hub, Mailchimp and similar tools, according to a survey conducted under the Digital Jamaica Project. This limited adoption indicates that only a small portion of businesses are utilising advanced digital marketing tools to manage their marketing campaigns, track effectiveness, and engage with customers.
Through the Digital Jamaica Project, 2700 MSMEs will be trained in areas including Email Marketing as well as use and application of other digital technologies in business operations. The multi-sectoral Project is fully funded by the European Union (EU) and will be implemented by the Ministry of Industry, Investment & Commerce (MIIC) through the Jamaica Business Development Corporation (JBDC).
