The Caribbean Development Bank (CDB) visited the JBDC Incubator& Resource Centre in Kingston on May 16, 2023 to tour the Agro-processing Incubator which is being developed under The Increasing the Export Capacity of Micro and Small Agro-Processors Using the Cluster Approach Project. This project is funded by the European Union (EU), supervised by the CDB and is currently being implemented by the Jamaica Business Development Corporation (JBDC).

The aim of the initiative is to actively grow exports nationally in keeping with development targets for the sector. This will lead to economic growth and additional opportunities for MSMEs and greater economic empowerment for women.

The incubator is still under construction with the installation of state-of-the-art equipment and will be officially opened later this year.

At the end of the tour, JBDC and CDB representatives share bright smiles of approval.
