How did LaTige become the top performer in the fashion accessories category inside the Things Jamaican store in just a few months?!

She is Russian, but her Rooted and Blooming jewellery collection is authentic Jamaican. Stefanie Neno birthed LaTige in 2023, when she decided to step away from a career in international development to fully embrace her creative calling.

After living in seven countries across three continents, Stefanie says she eventually found her roots again in Jamaica, where she settled in 2021. Her artistry includes sculptural, wearable art inspired by nature, Caribbean landscapes, ocean rhythms, architecture, and diverse cultures.

LaTige’s Journey with JBDC

Through a thorough screening process, the Jamaica Business Development Corporation (JBDC) assesses a product’s strengths and weaknesses to guide clients to prepare their products/services for the market.

In March 2026, LaTige’s Rooted and Blooming collection passed JBDC’s market readiness assessment with flying colours.

Three months later, the first batch of LaTige products was delivered in June, unlocking a new stream of market access, where the audience would respond immediately.

Between July and September, the collection was featured in Things Jamaican’s Wear Jamaica campaign,  17/21 products sold to 32 customers – an 80% success rate! The brand accounted for 6.2% of the fashion accessories category revenue, making Stefanie the top performer of 62 producers.

The collection was also featured in the Tourism Linkages Network’s Christmas in July tradeshow.

According to Stefanie, “the 2026 collections are guided by the theme Rooted and Blooming — a reflection of my personal journey and creative evolution. After years of moving across countries and cultures, I have found my roots again in Jamaica, where nature, light, and landscape deeply influence my work. Along the way, I gathered experiences, refined my aesthetic, and shaped my artistic voice. Today, LaTige is allowed to bloom freely: from tropical and coastal inspirations to bold, modern expressions. Each collection represents a different facet of growth — grounded in heritage, yet open to change.”

JBDC Impact = Entrepreneurship Success

The LaTige market access story continues to unfold at JBDC, as the brand is exposed to the agency’s extensive range of marketing services designed to impact entrepreneurial growth and success.
