The Jamaica Business Development Corporation (JBDC) and Tax Administration Jamaica (TAJ) will collaborate on workshops dubbed ‘Tax Talk’ aimed at helping entrepreneurs and companies with their tax filings for 2025.

The sessions, which are held annually, will be presented virtually on Zoom on February 7 reserved for sole traders and February 14 for companies. Both sessions commence at 10:00 am.

Business owners are encouraged to attend to have their questions answered and get help in preparing the necessary forms for filing their tax returns. With the help of the JBDC and TAJ, they should become fully compliant.

In Jamaica, the deadline for filing taxes for the previous calendar year is March 31.

JBDC in one of its blog posts recommending steps to filing tax returns noted, “Before you begin filing your annual income tax return, gather all the necessary documents.”

Thereafter it advises business owners to create an e-services account on TAJ’s website, jamaicatax.com. “Filing your annual income tax returns as a small business in Jamaica doesn’t have to be overwhelming. The Jamaica Business Development Corporation (JBDC) partners with the TAJ to provide support to Micro Small & Medium-sized Enterprises (MSMEs) ahead of each tax season,” the business development agency shared.
