Colin Porter

COLIN PORTER is a trained Engineer and a member of the Jamaica Institute of Engineers. Currently the Technical Services Manager at the JBDC, Colin coordinates the activities of the technical team. This includes providing support to clients in the areas of product development, branding and packaging design and operations improvement.

The graduate of the University of the West Indies (St. Augustine) notes his integral contribution to the establishment of the Incubator and Resource Centre at Marcus Garvey Drive, as one of his most significant achievements.

With twenty-one years’ service already under his belt at the JBDC, Colin is committed to widen the areas of technical support given to non-manufacturing clients; to develop programmes that stimulate the growth of new industry areas within the MSME ecosystem, and to share relevant knowledge to MSMEs that assist them in strengthening their products, services and operations.
