Janine Fletcher Taylor, manager of the Marketing Services Unit at the Jamaica Business Development Corporation (JBDC), says the corporation will shortly be launching a promotional campaign for its Buy to Build initiative.
During this campaign, members of corporate Jamaica will be encouraged to purchase Christmas and other gifts from members of the local micro, small and medium enterprise (MSME) sector rather than import them.
Mrs. Fletcher Taylor said these gifts can be accessed at Things Jamaican Limited – its retail outlet – as well as its headquarters on South Camp Road.
Speaking in an interview on Radio Jamaica’s Real Business on Thursday, Mrs. Fletcher Taylor stressed that this will help to create markets for members of the MSME sector who are struggling to recover from the ravages of Hurricane Melissa.
