The Jamaica Business Development Corporation (JBDC) invites you to Creative Saturdays: The Textiles Edition – JADIRÉ: Batik Painting Techniques, a hands-on workshop designed for artisans, designers, potential entrepreneurs, and side hustlers interested in textile innovation. Taking place in Kingston on November 1 & 8, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 3:30 PM, this two-day session will immerse participants in the art of Jadiré, a batik painting technique rooted in culture and creativity. For just $7,500 (inclusive of materials and lunch), attendees will learn how to design fabrics using motifs, cutting blocks, layout planning, dyeing, dewaxing, and finishing techniques. You’ll also gain practical insights into creating Jadiré batik fabric for sale and how to innovate products using these unique textiles. The payment deadline is October 29, 2025 and spaces are limited.
