Mr. Anil Sinha

Mr. Anil Sinha, a national of India, is currently Counsellor, SMEs and Entrepreneurship Support Division, World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO).

In a career spanning over twenty seven years at WIPO, Mr. Sinha has been responsible, among other things, for the coordination of WIPO’s legal and technical assistance programs in certain countries of the Asia and the Pacific region, for the administration, promotion and development of the Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT) system in developing countries and emerging economies and for fostering IP management teaching, training and research around the world.

Mr. Sinha has written and reviewed several articles, papers and study materials on intellectual property (IP), has taught IP to varied audiences worldwide and regularly advises academic institutions, industry, SMEs, SME support institutions and government officials and agencies on policy making and capacity building in the field of IP management.

Mr. Sinha holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Shri Ram College of Commerce, University of Delhi, a Master of International Relations from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi and a Bachelor of Law (LLB) degree from the University of London.
