Valerie Veira has spent the last thirty-one years working in the field of Industrial Development. Her most significant projects led to the design and establishment of two government limited liability companies that currently provide critical support to the MSME sector.
She is also involved in Education as she lectures an Entrepreneurship course for final year students in the Mona School of Business and Management at the UWI's Faculty of Social Sciences". The course is aimed at preparing the students to participate effectively in the business sector as entrepreneurs. Miss Veira serves on several boards and has led a number of teams in negotiating technical assistance for Jamaica with international donor organizations such as the United Nations Development Organization (UNIDO), Canadian Industrial Development Agency (CIDA), United States Agency for International Development (U.S.A.I.D) and the Commonwealth.
