A key focus of the JBDC’s Financial Support Services Unit is financial literacy and readiness. As such, Raising Capital is designed to expose the agency’s clients to the various forms of financing available in the market. This event is by invitation only with an audience capacity of 60 - 100 and has seen some of the brightest minds in the financial sector featured as panellists leading discussions aimed at educating MSMEs in a comfortable setting.
The forum has been hosted previously, exploring topics including equity financing and investor pitching. As part of GEW 2019 celebrations, Raising Capital returns for another thought provoking discussion on Financing the Orange Economy: Is there Cash for Creativity? aimed at bridging the gap between financier and entrepreneur.
The theme will seek to stimulate conversations around the perceived financial inclusion barrier experienced by entrepreneurs in the cultural and creative industries and the reality of financial institutions perception of the industries.
Raising Capital is scheduled to be held at the Knutsford Court Hotel on Tuesday, November 19, 2019, between the hours of 5:30 pm and 8:30 pm.
