Can you pitch your way to investment? Aptly themed Pitch Perfect, this event is a Business Pitch Workshop & Mingle presented by the JBDC in association with the Development Bank of Jamaica and Alpha Angels. The initiative is a training and development intervention designed to expose entrepreneurs and other members of society to the principles and techniques required to successfully pitch their ideas or businesses to investors for funding. Data from the National Needs Assessment Survey conducted in 2014 by the JBDC, highlighting access to financing as one of the major challenges affecting the growth of the MSME sector. As the government’s premiere business development support services agency, the JBDC takes seriously its responsibility to lead efforts aimed at bridging the gap between lender/investor and entrepreneur. A critical component of bridging this gap is preparation through training and education through programmes like Pitch Perfect.
