In a collaborative effort between the Government of Jamaica and the Mexican Government, the Jamaica Business Development Corporation (JBDC) is currently hosting a team of two Technicians under a Scientific and Technical Corporation Programme
The programme which provides technical assistance to artisans in Jewellery making and Ceramics will run for the period June 7-11 and will be facilitated by Master Ceramist, Mario Perez and Jewellery Technician, Jose Garcia.
The workshops take on a five-pronged approach focusing on; Organization, Diagnosis & Research, Production, Marketing and Use of Raw Materials.
The Ceramics workshops will be held at the Mustard Seed Communities while the Jewellery workshop which targets local artisans including small entrepreneurs who participation in the recently concluded Cluster Sector Initiative, will be held at JBDC’s Incubator and Resource Centre at Marcus Garvey Drive. |
